Another delicious pizza spot to enjoy and close to home! So we had tried the pizza on a to-go basis only. This was our first time dining in, and it was really a good experience for us. We ended up trying a few smaller pizzas so we could pull from each one. We also got 6 garlic parm and 6 lemon pepper orders of wings. The wings are, in my opinion, very heavy flavored. So, you're going to taste the spices on the wings. The pizza choices on the menu are simple and easy to order. They taste really great, and if you like them a little greasy like i do, then you're in for a treat. The demand is high for these orders both dine in and take out, so just be prepared to possibly wait for your order. The staff was super chill and working behind the scenes. Employees were not on their phones or sitting around, which was nice to see. They were really pushing out the orders. They do offer a small dine in area in case you feel like enjoying a little down time inside. We had a great experience here at this location, and we'll have to compare it to the other stores here soon. So come enjoy some great pizza, wings, and more, but be patient, and it'll be worth it. My pizza was squished against the side of the box and the cashier immediately offered to remake it for me. Super cool people here and an overall good first experience! Also, they gave me a couple of Cannoli for my wife and I. Haven't tried the pizza yet but it looks good. I will update the review after we give it a shot! Kudos to the nice crew working tonight.

Mattenga's Pizzeria is absolutely amazing! The pizza here is top-notch, with perfectly crispy crust and fresh, flavorful toppings that leave you craving more. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making every visit a great experience. But I have to give a special shout-out to their new pretzel and beer cheese – it’s to die for! As a huge pretzel lover, this has quickly become one of my new favorites. The pretzel is soft, warm, and just the right amount of salty, and the beer cheese is rich and flavorful. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're a fan of delicious pizza and crave-worthy snacks. Mattenga's is definitely a must-visit!

THE best pizza I’ve had, so grateful to have a Mattenga’s nearby! Pizza always tastes heavenly, they use only fresh ingredients. Not too greasy, and the crust is to die for!! Shoutout to the hard working young man at the front in glasses, wish I had gotten his name! He not only works the register, but was also baking pizzas and answering the phones. He took very good care of my husband and I today. This location is always clean, top notch service and laid back environment. Happy customers, will be returning again soon!

Some of the best pizza I’ve had in San Antonio. The calzone was a 10/10. This was our first time and they actually made a mistake on our order. The cook caught her mistake and offered to remake the pizza. We were grateful that she caught it but we ate the pepperoni pizza she made. It was excellent. Thank you for great pizza but even better customer service. Definitely coming back soon.

I see why Mattenga’s was voted highly as having the best pizza. The pizza was very good. The staff were very friendly and it was a very quiet, clean environment. Affordable prices and good lunch specials. Will definitely be back! Highly recommended. Love their mission statement and connection with the community.

Came here with family who wanted a restaurant where everyone could get something they wanted since I'm vegan but none of them are. This was my second visit here and I really love it because they offer tasty vegan pizza which is hard to find in this city!! Mattenga's crusts are all vegan and their pizza sauces are as well. In addition, they offer vegan cheese and vegan pepperoni as pizza toppings. I ended up getting a personal 10" veggie pizza, one of their specialty pizzas offered. The veggie pizza doesn't come with any sauce which made me inquire if the red sauce has meat in it? I was told no, that they just don't include a sauce on the pizza as a culinary choice but if I wanted red sauce they'd add it and so I did. But they clarified all of the pizza sauces are vegan so not to worry! The pizza was delicious! And we even ordered the pretzel appetizer with beer cheese. When it arrived, it was shiny and so I worried it had butter but the waiter assured me it was just oil and so I got to enjoy a bit of pretzel as an appetizer too! Both visits here were great so I'll definitely be back!
